For me personally I like to combine both; I like to have something western and something African fused together to form one beautiful work of art. I am not overly socially conscious so my ideas of a great tat can range from a beautifully placed marijuana leaf to a painting of Africa that shows more than just the outline. As this is my first post I will use a few of my personal tattoos as i want to make this blog very personal.
These are 5 of my favorite works of art:
1. This is of the historic Nigerian artifact FESTAC. Its a great representation of it and its also a very rare tattoo.
2. This is a simple lion tattoo but in tribal form. I love this one for how simple it looks but the wearer and the artist know its intricacies and the pain was real too lol.
3. This as I'm sure you've guessed is my favorite one. Its a detailed outline of Africa with an also well detailed MJ leaf in the middle. The simplicity of this artwork cannot be understated. The attention to detail by the artist was to the T and that's what makes this tat so beautiful.
4. This is just beyond beautiful. I dont think i need any extra words for it.
5. Last but no the least this is another tribal tat. Its deifferent but for me you need a special shade of dark to actually pull it off. If you do manage to though its one hell of a piece.
